Afrowave Radio was launched in December 2004. It’s an Internet radio station, which broadcasts around the clock — 24/7 in different audio formats — for your convenience. Afrowave Radio features a variety of musical styles, mainly those of Africa and the Caribbean. Our goal is to build an audience that ence that enjoys listening to musical genre such as Zouk, Kizomba, Afro-Zouk, Cabo Love, Gumbe, Kompa, Kizomba, Kuduro, and everything else in between as long as it displays an “afro flavor.” There is no doubt that Internet is already populated with thousands of stations, but A frowave Radio has an unique perspective in dealing with a complex audience. Said in a plain language, the station intends to captivate every single person who decides to tune-in. Our promise is to treat you as an individual listener. As you are able to see and hear, our team’s goal is not only offering you rich music, but also providing you a variety of information about artists and recording labels–those devoted to promoting the Afro-Caribbean music. And to make things even more interesting, Afrowave Radio intends to re-visit “old” musical hits, which will bring about good memories of 1980’s and 1990’s. The driving force behind this project is to promote our cultures and music and advance our common interests.
